
Jorieke van Strijen has since 1997 been focused on the real estate sector as a lawyer. She specializes in drafting, assessing and negotiating lease, project development and purchase agreements for commercial real estate, including sale and lease-back transactions. She has a solid track record in advising and litigating on behalf of investors, investment funds, project developers, but also tenants and landlords, where she is known as a smart negotiator and an experienced strategy advisor in controversial issues.
Before joining Habraken Rutten, Jorieke amassed experience working as a lawyer at NautaDutilh. Alongside her work as a lawyer she is a deputy judge at the Court of 's-Hertogenbosch, editor and co-author of Tekst & Commentaar Huurrecht, member of the editorial board of Tijdschrift voor Huurrecht WR and she teaches about tenancy law, including at the internal training for the judiciary.
